How do I determine my play level?
Use the criteria for USTA play level and then convert it to the GLTA level.
If you are an experienced player, use the USTA NTRP Guideline Supplement.
For more information, read the USTA NTRP Guidebook.

I am a beginner. Should I join?
Absolutely! We have over a hundred potential members ranging on a bell-curve from beginner to pro. At our social events you may meet players who will be willing to coach you, and you will find opportunities for taking semi-private or group lessons. We dedicate court time throughout the season for beginner clinics. In play, you will be matched against players at your level.

Organization

How do I volunteer?
We’re always looking for volunteers, regardless of experience. Every little bit contributes to the success of PLTA.
How to sign up: Simply contact any board member.

What does the Board of Directors do?
The first task of the original Board of Directors was to prepare the By Laws under which the organization would run. This extensive document should answer all organizational policy questions.

What do my membership dues pay for?
As a non-profit organization, we must cover cost for expensive insurance premiums, permit fees, court fees, festival booth fees, marketing and public relations, bank account fees etc. Our dues are in line with other GLTA tennis leagues of this size. As a member, you will receive benefits such as discounted equipment and lessons.
